About ReceiptBay

We build software for turning paper receipts into records you can actually use. This page is what we are, what we believe, and where we are up to.

What ReceiptBay is

ReceiptBay is a receipt inbox. You add a receipt — a photo or an upload today — and we read it: the merchant, the date, the totals, the tax, the tenders, and the individual line items. Everything lands in one place so you can look back at what you actually bought, not just what you spent.

It is free while we are in early access, and it is available in the United States. We are not a bank, broker, or money transmitter, and we do not hold deposits. We do not connect to your bank or card accounts, and we do not silently capture your purchases. You add the receipts you want to keep.

Line items are the part we care most about. A total tells you what you spent. The lines tell you what you bought, and that is what makes a receipt worth keeping.

What we believe

A few things, and we would rather say them plainly than dress them up.

Privacy is a default, not a setting

This site does not set cookies and carries no third-party tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and no session replay. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here — there is nothing to consent to. We don't sell personal information.

Say less, and mean it

We don't publish statistics we cannot source or testimonials we don't have permission to use. When our OCR might be wrong, we say so and keep the original image with the receipt so you can check it against the paper. If something is planned rather than built, we label it planned.

Your receipts are yours

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, and you can ask us to delete your account and the receipts in it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your receipts to advertise to you.

Optional means off

Where we build something optional — community prices, and any future bank, card, or store connection — it stays off until you turn it on. Nothing gets shared by default.

Where we are up to

ReceiptBay is in early access. Today you add receipts on the web dashboard, and an Android capture app is in private testing — there is no App Store or Play listing yet. Email forwarding and connections to bank, card, and store accounts are being explored, not built.

You can see what we are working on next on the roadmap, and whether anything is wrong right now on the status page.
